OBX Specialties, Inc. is a privately owned and operated cabinet refacing, custom cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom company.
We developed this company as part of the relationships we have with larger national home improvement companies, as their primary service provider. Having installed thousands of kitchen projects as their sub-contractor, we realized that we could independently offer the identical service, in a much more affordable way. Not just the identical service… better options, better solutions and so much more! As a small business, a local-family-run business, we simply have less overhead and expense to pass along to the customer. We are personally invested in your project and reviews matter to us.

We’ve provided many services to the “box stores” over the years and it became clear to us that we preferred kitchens. It gives us an immense satisfaction to come to your home and spend just a few days working to achieve such a dramatic new outcome! We take a great deal of pride in our work and in the finished project. So much so, that we decided to limit our project offerings to kitchens and sometimes bathrooms. Thus, we aren’t that company that knocks down part of your house, takes 6 months to renovate, installs the roof and then the same guy puts your cabinets and flooring in – we are specialized to focus on just the design and master carpentry involved in a well-thought out, beautiful and functional kitchen.

We learned early on that the most satisfied customers are people who: participate in their own design plan; are given all of the details about what is involved in their project; really know ahead of time what to expect. Customers say they’ve had an excellent experience because they did not have to go through a series of unexpected surprises and pitfalls. My happy clients tell a few friends and are proud to show off the kitchen; however, I’ve seen unhappy customers- i.e. the ones who got transferred around to various departments of the “big companies”, even different countries, couldn’t get answers, didn’t get return phone calls – those frustrated customers tell everyone! We just can’t afford to have that happen – we are small and local and it matters!

When you choose us to do the work, you strictly deal with us to back it up. You will not be redirected to a warehouse guy, a supplier in some other state or a corporate representative from a manufacturer. You call us and you get us.
